About the Foundation

The Library Foundation of New Orleans exists to strengthen one of the city’s most essential institutions: the public library. Through funding, advocacy, and community support, we help ensure that access to knowledge, literacy, and opportunity remains free and available to everyone.

We are a nonprofit organization focused solely on supporting the New Orleans Public Library. Every dollar raised, every program funded, and every initiative we support is designed to expand the library’s reach and impact across the city.

Our work helps bridge the gap where public funding ends, ensuring the library can continue to serve as a center for education, culture, and connection.
